Connectors: Vertical Members
ForteWEB determines end connections for studs and wall embedded columns that are resisting wind forces normal to the exterior face of the wall. The engine considers the lateral member reaction along with species and geometry of the member and the surrounding framing. Two types of connections are returned that meet the load and physical requirements along with some minimal restrictions to avoid splitting of the wood members: Nails (end nails and toe nails) and angle connectors.
